The drawing below shows the simple plan of the rack. The materials needed are two pieces of wood 11/16" x 11/4" x 14" for the ends, and seven 1/2-inch dowels 30 inches long. Bore seven 1/2inch holes through the end pieces as shown in the illustration. Glue the ends of the dowels into the end pieces. A thin brad driven through each end of the dowels in the end pieces will help to keep them in place. Sand and finish the frame so that it will not snag fabrics which are hung over it.
Revolving Wall Cabinets
One of the most interesting features of the U-shaped kitchen, described on page 13, are the revolving shelves in the corners of the room. Since corner space is often wasted, or if equipped with shelves, is so deep and unreachable, the homemaker will appreciate the convenience of shelves that permit ready access to package goods or dishes.
At first thought, such rotating shelves may seem beyond the capabilities of the home handyman, but a study of the drawings on this and the next page will show that the construction is relatively simple. The dimensions, of course, may be changed to fit the particular need.
