Teenage rebellion, alcohol and drug abuse, self-mutilation, smoking—these are all common throughout the teenage years and also concern a lot of parents. While a lot of parents frown at their children’s behavior what they fail to realize is the cause of the problem which could well be stress and an anxiety disorder in teens is not uncommon. Peer pressure, and too much influence from friends, is the first thing parents think about when their once lovely, and adorable, child starts to swear, drink, smoke, and stay out late. While it is true these influences can play a great part in a child’s attitude, a lot of other situations can cause an anxiety disorder in teenagers which leads to abnormal behavior.
