The hinged flanking mirrors when opened expose triangular shelves. The more utilitarian bathroom supplies are kept here and the decorative objects on the open shelves. This arrangement of mirrors is one of the best for getting a good look all around.
The lighting fixture over the mirrors has a white glass front backed up by the same perforated metal used on the shutters and cabinet doors. While this is only vaguely in evidence when the light is out, it shows up when it is on. Two fluorescent tubes, end to end, can replace the one shown.
All of the parts of the lavatory cabinet wifh the exception of the stiles'and rails of the two center doors, are preferably of plywood. Notice that on one side the door and drawer extend over the front edge of the side, while on the other there is a vertical strip to provide clearance.
Both drawers are identical with the exception that there is a projecting 3/4" on one that is omitted on the other. This projecting end covers the edge of the side. As the plywood doors are the same width as the drawers, one will be 3/4" wider than the other. That against the wall is 143/4" x 30". The other is 151/2"x 30".
The walls as well as the floor and counter top in this bathroom are covered with linoleum.
